Whirlpool Point

Whirlpool Point is in Alberta, Canada. The water is turquoise or blue whichever you see. I see turquoise. The nearest town is Nordegg, Alberta. There is plaque with names on it near the river, those were the trailblazers back in those days but the First Nations people already new these routes before them. These pictures were taken with my Lenovo Tablet4 8.

2021 The Mountains

I went out west in Alberta toward the mountains a few days ago and here are the photos. I turned at the Cardinal River road and a few miles later took this picture.

North of Nordegg, Alberta along the Forestry Trunk road. 2021.

I stopped at Brown Creek and took these pictures. The brown creek campground is usually busy during the summer but not today. It was kind of cold and not to many people on the road that day.

Brown Cree provincial campground in Alberta, Canada. A isolated road called the Forestry Trunk.

Nearing my destination I took these photos standing on the back of my reliable Chevy truck.

On the Forestry Trunk road near the Brazeau River campground.
The Brazeau River campground is about 5 miles from here.

So that is it. I hope you liked the pictures and comment below if you want. These pictures were taken north of Nordegg, Alberta, Canada in April 2021, on the Forestry Trunk road. A desolate and isolated road that not many people travel on.

Rocky Mountains in the Fall

Pictures from August and September 2020 near Nordegg, Alberta. About 150 kms west of Rocky Mountain House. The reserve I am from is called Maskwacis. I put that sticker there. So it’s Fall here in Alberta and I wanted to show you the colours. Yellow leaves are everywhere. I used my Olympus OMD EM10 version 2 camera for most of these shots. The lens were a 40-150 mm and a 12-60 high grade lens. Both lens have UV filters for them.

Photography

I’ve been taking pictures with my Olympus OMD EM10 camera in the Rocky Mountains lately. As well, I use my Asus 13 megapixel cell phone for panorama shots. I will add more pictures later so enjoy these ones for now.

This was at the Dry Island Buffalo Jump southeast of Red Deer, Alberta.
This was at Banff National Park recently. That’s smoke from the USA and BC forest fires.

Jasper National Park in Alberta, Canada

Jasper National Park in Alberta, Canada

Jasper National Park is in the rocky mountains in Alberta. I tried making it to the Columbia Icefield Skywalk but this mountain I was going up was too hard on my truck. Next time I will travel lighter. The scenery is very good and I recommend you go on Highway 93 north from the Saskatchewan River Crossing store. The weather was nice but there was a risk of an avalanche so you have to be careful. I took pictures with my Olympus EPL1 12.3 megapixel camera and my Asus cell phone. I can’t believe my elementary grade school went on a school bus up here ! That was decades ago. If you want to see mountains and don’t have a lot of money I recommend you go see Jasper National Park.

David Thompson Highway 11: Rocky Mountains

I was in the Rocky Mountains out west of Rocky Mountain House in Alberta, Canada. I live about 5 hours away from the mountains. You need a good vehicle to get out there. It was a nice day. I don’t usually do selfies but I did on this one. I also took some pictures with my Olympus E-3 DSLR.

This is what I do when I have time off. I did this in one day but I had to leave at about 7 am from my place.
